Richard Cory
Theme and Tone

The theme of Richard Cory is that you should want what others have beacause although the might have more than you in certian areas they have less in other. No matter what we should appreciate what we have.
The tone of Richard Cory is letting the reader know what he wants to them to know without sugar coating it. In the part ''And Richard Cory, one calm summer night, Went home and put a bullet through his head'' the author put that Richard Cory killed him self the author didntput it in any nice way just said what he did.
